Aston Villa goalkeeping coach Tony Parks has said that it was an easy decision for him to reunite with Tim Sherwood.
Former Tottenham Hotspur boss Sherwood was appointed Villa manager in February after the departure of Paul Lambert, and he has since steered the club away from relegation danger in addition to the final of the FA Cup.
Parks, who was goalkeeping coach at Spurs for six years before leaving the club upon Sherwood's departure last summer, says that the opportunity to work with his former colleague again at Villa Park was too good an opportunity to pass up.
"It was a no-brainer to come here," Parks told the Birmingham Mail. "I had sold my house in London to move to Norwich but Tim phoned me up and said, 'I'm going in at Aston Villa, I want you to come with me.
"I told my wife that we were going to Aston Villa and there was no question about it. It's a no-brainer. There aren't many opportunities that come up at Aston Villa in your coaching or playing career. My mind was made up immediately."
Villa travel to Manchester City on Saturday.
