Aston Villa goalkeeper Brad Guzan believes that his side have enough character and quality to prevail in the battle against relegation from the Premier League.
Paul Lambert's team slipped into the bottom three last weekend after losing their first game in three with a 2-1 defeat to Liverpool.
Guzan thinks that Villa need to concentrate on reducing individual errors in order to ensure that their efforts are rewarded with wins when it matters most in the battle to beat the drop.
He told The Mirror: "We have to make sure we come out on top regardless of the scoreline. You have to limit the mistakes and chances we gave away against Liverpool.
"For us, it's not the result we wanted. We'll look to go again and there's a lot of football to be played. We've shown before that we can bounce back. Regardless of whether we're in the bottom three, you look at the table and see how tight it is.
"There's a lot of football to be played and lot of points to pick up. So you try not to get caught up in looking at the table. You focus on yourself, if you do that, you'll be fine."
Villa are in the relegation zone on goal difference with 30 points from 31 games.
