Derby County have reportedly registered an interest in signing Aston Villa forward Andreas Weimann.
Paul Clement is expected to be busy in the transfer market this summer as he looks to build a squad capable of securing promotion to the Premier League next season, and Villa are also expected to make major changes after avoiding relegation under Tim Sherwood.
The Daily Mail claims that Weimann has been told by Sherwood that he is allowed to leave the club and Derby have immediately emerged as favourites to secure the Austrian's services.
Derby are believed to be keen to agree a permanent deal for the 23-year-old, who has just one year remaining on his current deal.
Weimann scored three times in 32 appearances this season.
