Aston Villa have reportedly sent scouts to watch FC Koln goalkeeper Timo Horn as they look at potential transfer targets.
Brad Guzan recently lost his place to Shay Given, and bringing in competition for the American is believed to be a target for Villa boss Tim Sherwood ahead of the summer transfer window.
According to the Daily Mail, Horn has emerged as a possible target after another fine campaign for the 22-year-old in the Bundesliga.
Villa representatives watched Horn keep a clean sheet in Sunday's 2-0 victory over Schalke 04, but it is understood that the club have not yet made an official approach.
Brentford shot-stopper David Button and Molde's Orjan Nyland have also been linked with Villa recently.
