Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert will reportedly not sign any new players before Thursday's transfer deadline.

Aston Villa will reportedly not bring any new additions into the squad before Thursday's transfer deadline.

The Midlands outfit have been struggling in the Premier League and are just one point above the relegation zone in the table.

It is now understood that manager Paul Lambert will not be signing any players to help keep the club in the top flight of English football for the rest of the season, according to BBC Radio WM reporter Mike Taylor.

Villa were also knocked out of the League Cup and the FA Cup in the same week.
