Ander Iturraspe claims that his Athletic Bilbao teammate Fernando Llorente will not leave the club in January.

Athletic Bilbao midfielder Ander Iturraspe has insisted that his teammate Fernando Llorente will remain with the Spanish club until the end of the season.

The 27-year-old, whose current contract with the Basque giants runs out next summer, has been linked with moves to Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus.

"It is obvious that he is going to stay until the end of the season," said Iturraspe on Tuesday. "He is a team player who tries his best.

"The club has made a decision and will remain strong. He is a team player. He's training as any other player, he has no injury, he can play."

Llorente has scored just one goal in 14 competitive matches for Bilbao so far this season.
