Diego Godin: 'Atletico Madrid ready for Barcelona'

Atletico Madrid defender Diego Godin insists that his side "are ready" to take on Barcelona in Wednesday's La Liga clash at Camp Nou.

Atletico Madrid defender Diego Godin has insisted that his team "are ready" to take on Spanish champions Barcelona.

On Wednesday night, Atletico will make the trip to Barcelona looking to record their first La Liga victory at Camp Nou since February 2006.

Three points for Atletico would see them move above Barcelona in the table and Godin has called for maximum concentration from his team as they look to continue their unbeaten start to the season.

"There is no rest and we are ready to play against the best. Barcelona at home are a very tough opponent so we must give 120% effort - not only are they very strong in attack but also in their defence," Godin told Atletico's official website.

"We did things well in our opening two games but did not win, but we must believe in our efforts and direction. We got good feelings and good goals after this (Sporting Gijon) game."

Atletico have won two and drawn two of their four La Liga matches this season, with a total of eight points leaving them fourth in the table, four points behind the leaders Real Madrid.
