Preview: Atletico Madrid vs. Valencia

Sports Mole previews the La Liga match between Atletico Madrid and Valencia.

Atletico Madrid host Valencia on Sunday evening as they look to keep pace with Real Madrid in the race for second place in the La Liga table.

Real currently have a one-point advantage over Atletico, but that lead could be extended to four points by the time Diego Simeone's side play on Sunday.

Simeone could opt to retain the same starting lineup from their last game, after they recorded a 2-0 win over Osasuna.

Valencia are one of a number of clubs who have aspirations of securing fourth position and a place in next season's Champions League, and they will be aware of the importance of picking up a result at the Vicente Calderon.

They arrive in Madrid on the back of a 3-0 success over Real Betis, and they will be hoping that striker Roberto Soldado can add to his 20 goals for the season.
