Markus Weinzierl: 'Survival our aim'

Markus Weinzierl says that Augsburg's aim is to survive, despite their strong start to the new season.

Augsburg coach Markus Weinzierl has insisted that the main priority for his side this season is to survive in the Bundesliga.

The club have performed well in their early Bundesliga games, but Weinzierl has refused to get carried away by the league table.

"Our aim is still to remain in the division – finishing higher up the league isn't our top priority," he told Bundesliga.com. "The most important thing is stability for us."

Augsburg finished 15th in the Bundesliga last season.
