Xavi tips Barcelona for Champions League

Xavi says that Barcelona have a great chance of repeating their treble success of last season in the new campaign.

Former Barcelona captain Xavi has said that the club are the favourites to win La Liga and the Champions League this season.

The Catalan giants won a historic treble in the last campaign, and Xavi has insisted that they can continue to achieve success in his absence.

"We'll have at least two or three more years of winning trophies. [Barca] are a great team and a great group of lads," he told RAC1.

"We're the favourites for the League and Champions League, and repeating the treble will be difficult, but it was the same after [Pep] Guardiola and we still did it, considering we'd been taken for fools in January."

Barcelona have won the Champions League five times in their history.
