Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde has said that his team "did well" during Saturday night's El Clasico against Real Madrid, which the Catalan giants won 3-2 to make it three wins from three pre-season matches in North America.
Real Madrid came from two goals behind to level the scores in the first period, but Gerard Pique's close-range finish early in the second half proved enough for Barcelona to triumph.
Valverde has said that the conditions in Miami, Florida made it difficult for both teams to operate at full throttle, but the recently-appointed manager was pleased with his side's performance at the Hard Rock Stadium.
"It was hard because of the heat, we made a good start, generated some good opportunities. Overall, we did well trying to dominate the match," Valverde told reporters.
Next up for Barcelona is a clash with Brazilian side Chapecoense in the Joan Gamper Trophy on August 7.
