Barcelona defender Eric Abidal will join up with the France squad if they progress to the latter stages of Euro 2012, according to Yohan Cabaye.
Abidal, 32, had been invited by the French Football Federation to watch Tuesday's match against Sweden. However, a series of medical tests following his liver transplant in April mean that his trip to the Euros has been delayed.
"Abi was supposed to join us in Ukraine and spend some time with us, but unfortunately that will not happen. We should see him soon, though, if we qualify for the quarter-finals," Cabaye wrote on his official website.
France currently top Group D with four points.
