Barcelona have revealed that Gavi has been taken to hospital after suffering a head injury during Saturday's 1-0 defeat to Real Betis in La Liga.
The 17-year-old suffered the injury when the ball was blasted at him from close range by Hector Bellerin, which led to the midfielder leaving the field on a stretcher in the 36th minute.
Amid fears that Gavi suffered a concussion, the Catalan giants revealed that the youngster had been taken to hospital 'in accordance with protocol'.

The Spain international has been a vital player for Xavi's team during the 2021-22 campaign, making 17 appearances in all competitions, including 12 outings in La Liga.
Gavi has now emerged as a major doubt for next week's Champions League clash with Bayern Munich, which Barcelona need to win to guarantee their spot in the last-16 stage of the competition.
