Jordi Alba believes that Barcelona were unfairly criticised for their below-par campaign last term.
The Catalan outfit failed to pick up a major trophy during the 2013-14 season, while a number of their first-team players were widely criticised for a series of under-pair performances.
Alba admitted that it was a poor season, but has claimed that the criticism was over the top.
"I've seen such disrespect of the players," Alba told Onda Cero.
"It's everyone's opinion. I can't speak about the press - you're doing fine with me. When you do things wrong, you realise. There are all kinds of opinions. When you do something wrong you don't need anyone to tell you."
Alba is currently with the Spain squad ahead of the World Cup this summer.
