Spanish champions Barcelona are preparing to offer Isaac Cuenca a new deal that will keep at the club until 2014, according to Sport.
The 20-year-old's current contract at the Nou Camp expires at the end of the season and he will be free to find another club from January.
Reports have suggested that the winger turned down an offer of fresh terms last month, indicating that he was unhappy with the financial conditions.
However, Pep Guardiola is believed to be keen to keep hold of the youngster and the club are now ready to improve their offer.
Cuenca made his debut for Barca in October and has gone on to make eight appearances, scoring two goals.
