Josep Maria Bartomeu hails Luis Enrique

Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu pays tribute to Luis Enrique's impressive first season in charge of the Catalan outfit.

Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has paid tribute to Luis Enrique's work at the Camp Nou this season.

Enrique took charge of the Catalan outfit last summer and has already led the club to the La Liga title and Copa del Rey crown.

Barca will have the chance to make it a treble on Saturday when they face Juventus in the Champions League final, and Bartomeu has lavished praise on the club's former midfielder.

"Everyone deserves [this recognition] and Luis Enrique is having a great season. Little by little, with many new players, he's made the team we see today," Bartomeu told reporters.

Lionel Messi scored twice as Barcelona beat Athletic Bilbao in the Copa del Rey final on Saturday evening.
