Frank de Boer rules out Serie A, Barcelona moves

Ajax manager Frank de Boer rules out coaching Barcelona or in Serie A in the future.

Ajax manager Frank de Boer has revealed that he isn't keen on managing Barcelona or in Italy during his career.

De Boer is in demand after leading Ajax to four successive league titles, but the former defender has insisted that his preference is to manage in England, Spain or Germany.

The 43-year-old told Gazzetta dello Sport: "I have never talked with Inter Milan, but I prefer the Premier League, Bundesliga and La Liga. Italian football is very much in decline.

"Juventus do not play badly but they often expect that the two forwards need to create something. It's not my football.

"I would not go to Barcelona. It is very difficult to be a coach there. What can you teach players like Messi and Iniesta?"

De Boer recently declared that he expects to remain in charge at the Dutch giants for another season.
