Outgoing Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola has insisted that the team will remain competitive under Tito Vilanova.
Vilanova, who is currently an assistant at the Nou Camp, will become first-team coach at the end of the season when Guardiola leaves.
Despite doubts over the 42-year-old's credentials, Guardiola believes that he will keep the side challenging for honours.
"This team is young, Tito knows the players well and I'm confident that Barcelona will continue to be competitive [under him]," he told the reporters.
"I'm grateful for all the praise in response to my departure, although I didn't pass away. I'll still be around."
Guardiola has won 13 trophies during his four years in charge of the club.
