Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta has told his teammates that they must remain positive following Tuesday's defeat to Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey.
The Catalan club's 3-1 loss to their bitter rivals came a week after they were beaten 2-0 by AC Milan in the first leg of their last-16 tie in the Champions League.
Despite those two disappointments, Iniesta believes that the side should be looking forward to the remainder of the season.
"In situations where rivals overcome us we must accept it, but with the mindset that we have more [competitions] later we have to be optimistic," he told reporters.
"The team has not let go and is not unwilling, that never happens."
La Liga leaders Barcelona travel to the Santiago Bernabeu to face Madrid in the league on Saturday.
