Barcelona will reportedly seek a temporary replacement for manager Tito Vilanova, who has suffered a relapse after having a tumour removed last year.

Barcelona manager Tito Vilanova has reportedly suffered a relapse in his recovery from a tumour that he had removed last year.

While the club have yet to officially make an announcement, reports in Spain have claimed that the former La Liga champions will be seeking a temporary replacement as Vilanova undergoes treatment.

It is believed that Barca have contacted a potential replacement for the 44-year-old and is now awaiting a decision, according to Spanish TV Cuatro.

Vilanova, who has led his side to nine points clear at the top of the table so far this season, had the parotid gland tumour removed last year.
