Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Francisco Trincao has tested positive for coronavirus after linking up with the Portugal squad.
Trincao has failed to contribute a goal or assist in his first six Premier League appearances for the West Midlands outfit.
However, despite enduring a mixed start to life at Molineux, the Barcelona loanee was called up to the national team setup as a late replacement for Rafa Silva.
Upon his arrival at the team's training base, the 21-year-old subsequently tested positive for coronavirus, leading to his immediate withdrawal.
With just 10 days remaining until Wolves' Premier League fixture at Aston Villa, Trincao is now likely to be absent from that clash.
Portugal boss Fernando Santos has called up fellow Wolves player Nelson Semedo as his replacement for the games with Qatar and Luxembourg.
