Barcelona injury, suspension news vs. Osasuna: Latest on Pau Cubarsi, Inigo Martinez, Marc Casado

Sports Mole looks at Barcelona's injury and suspension news ahead of Thursday's La Liga clash with Osasuna

Leaders Barcelona will welcome Osasuna to the Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys for Thursday's rescheduled La Liga contest.

The game was initially set to take place on March 8, but it was postponed following the death of Barcelona's club doctor Carles Minarro Garcia.

Barcelona and Osasuna lodged appeals to have the fixture moved from March 27 due to their concerns about player welfare following the international window.

However, the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) rejected the appeal, meaning that players from both sides will have to contend with a quick turnaround from their international commitments.

Barcelona, who beat Atletico Madrid 4-2 in their last outing, have the chance to move three points clear of El Clasico rivals Real Madrid, while Osasuna are looking to complete an unlikely league double over the Blaugrana after winning 4-2 in September's reverse fixture.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Barcelona's injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with Osasuna, who are sitting in 14th spot with 33 points to their name.

Inigo Martinez

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: March 27 (vs. Osasuna)

Martinez was forced to withdraw from the Spain squad after he picked up a knee injury in Barcelona's win over Atletico Madrid earlier this month. However, there is an expectation that he will be ready to make himself available for Thursday's fixture.

Marc Casado

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Like Martinez, Casado sustained a knee injury in the dramatic 4-2 win at the Metropolitano. The midfielder had to pull out of the Spain squad and is set to miss around two months of action, meaning that there is a strong chance he will not play again this season.

Pau Cubarsi

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: March 27 (vs. Osasuna)

Cubarsi was forced off in the first half of last Thursday's 2-2 UEFA Nations League quarter-final first leg against the Netherlands. The 18-year-old sustained an ankle problem and had to leave the Spain camp before Sunday's return leg. The defender will have his work cut out to be ready for the home game against Osasuna.

Marc-Andre ter Stegen

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Ter Stegen has been out of action since suffering a serious knee injury against Villarreal on September 22. Barcelona recently released an update to confirm the goalkeeper is making "steady" progress, although the club will exercise caution about his return to action.

Marc Bernal

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Bernal is looking to get back to full fitness ahead of the 2025-26 campaign after his season was curtailed by an ACL injury that he sustained in August's away meeting with Rayo Vallecano.

BARCELONA'S SUSPENSION LIST

Barcelona have no players suspended for the league meeting with Osasuna.
