Team News: No Pedro for Barcelona

Barcelona forward Pedro misses out on a place in the starting lineup against Sevilla in the UEFA Super Cup.

Pedro has missed out on a place in the Barcelona starting lineup against Sevilla in the UEFA Super Cup.

The forward, who is on the bench, has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United in recent weeks.

Barca coach Luis Enrique has named an otherwise strong side for the match, with Gerard Pique, Andres Iniesta, Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez all featuring. Neymar is absent through illness.

Ever Banega, Jose Antonio Reyes and Kevin Gameiro are all in the starting XI for Sevilla, while debuts are handed to Michael Krohn-Dehli and Adil Rami.

However, fellow summer recruits Ciro Immobile, Gael Kakuta, Yevhen Konoplyanka and Mariano only make the bench and will be forced to wait for their full Sevilla debuts.

Barcelona: Ter Stegen; Alves, Pique, Mascherano, Mathieu; Sergio, Iniesta, Rakitic; Rafinha, Messi, Luis Suarez
