Barcelona reportedly approach Flamengo to enquire about Brazilian teenager Reinier.

Barcelona have reportedly joined the race for Flamengo teenager Reinier.

The 17-year-old has broken into the Flamengo first team this season and has contributed four goals and two assists in 12 appearances for the Brazilian outfit.

Real Madrid have previously been credited with an interest in the attacker, while Chelsea are also said to be weighing up a swoop for the Brazil Under-17 international.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Barca are now in the hunt for the South American, with the Spanish champions contacting Flamengo to enquire over the youngster's availability.

Reinier, who largely operates as an attacking midfielder, has managed five goals in 10 appearances for his country at Under-17 level.

Paris Saint-Germain and Atletico Madrid have also been mentioned as potential suitors for a player who has a contract at the Maracana until October 2024.
