Barcelona sell winger Jose Arnaiz to Leganes for £4.5m

Jose Arnaiz signs a five-year deal with Leganes after failing to break into Barcelona's first team during his year at the club.

Barcelona have confirmed that winger Jose Arnaiz has left the club to join fellow La Liga side Leganes in a £4.5m transfer.

The 23-year-old could not force his way into the Catalan giants' first team after joining from Real Valladolid a year ago.

Arnaiz did impress in the Copa del Rey, though, scoring three times as Barca went all the way in the domestic cup competition.

Having featured just once in the top flight - a five-minute cameo from the bench against Levante in January - the Spanish wideman has now departed for Leganes.

Los Pepineros have handed Arnaiz a five-year deal at the Estadio Municipal de Butarque.
