Barcelona 'to monitor Krzysztof Piatek'

Barcelona admire Genoa forward Krzysztof Piatek but are yet to decide whether to make a move for the Poland international, according to a report.

Barcelona are reportedly admirers of Genoa forward Krzysztof Piatek but are yet to decide whether to make a move for the Poland international.

Piatek, 23, moved to Genoa from Cracovia ahead of the 2018-19 campaign and has been in excellent form for his new club this term, managing 13 goals in eight appearances in all competitions.

Genoa have reportedly slapped a £43.8m price-tag on Piatek amid suggestions that Manchester City, Barcelona and Chelsea all want to sign him.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona director Ariedo Braida has already watched Piatek this season, and will continue to monitor the striker's performances throughout the 2018-19 campaign as the Spanish champions weigh up a move.

Piatek was named in Poland's preliminary squad for the 2018 World Cup but missed the final cut ahead of the tournament.
