Barcelona head coach Xavi is reportedly keen to sign Spanish forward Alvaro Morata in January.
The Catalan giants remain in the market for new recruits despite spending €55m on Manchester City's Ferran Torres earlier this week.
Morata is currently on loan at Juventus from Atletico Madrid, and the Serie A giants have the option to make his deal permanent next summer, which could make a potential move to Camp Nou complicated.
However, Marca reports that Xavi is 'determined' to sign the 29-year-old, who he believes can be the focal point in attack to help the club climb the La Liga table and challenge for Europa League glory.
The report adds that Morata is considering a switch to Barca, though he is aware that negotiations between the Catalan giants and his parent club Atletico could be challenging.
To help finance a potential move for the former Real Madrid marksman to Camp Nou, Barcelona would need to sell some of their first-team players, with Philippe Coutinho and Samuel Umtiti two names who have been heavily linked with a January exit.
Morata has made 23 appearances across all competitions for Juventus this season, scoring seven goals and providing three assists.
