Sergio Busquets calm over Lionel Messi future

Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets does not believe that Lionel Messi will leave Camp Nou.

Sergio Busquets does not believe that Barcelona teammate Lionel Messi will leave Camp Nou in the near future.

The Argentine recently played down rumours that he could leave Barca for the Premier League, amid talk of a strained relationship with head coach Luis Enrique.

However, Messi brought more limelight on the situation on Monday after admitting that he is 'unsure' of his future.

"He is the only one who is control of his own future and for us, it's important that he stays here," Busquets told reporters.

"He used a phrase which you hear a lot in football – no one knows what lies ahead in the future, and he also said that he doesn't want to leave."

Messi lost out to Cristiano Ronaldo in the Ballon d'Or on Monday.
