James Pallotta: "Miralem Pjanic will remain at Roma"

Roma president James Pallotta insists that Miralem Pjanic is happy to stay at the club beyond the summer amid interest from Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.

Roma president James Pallotta has insisted that Miralem Pjanic is happy to stay at Roma this summer.

The Croatian playmaker, who has scored six goals in 31 Serie A starts this season, has been linked with Paris Saint-Germain and Spanish giants Barcelona.

It would be the second successive summer window in which Pjanic has be a target of some of Europe's major clubs, but Pallotta has stressed that all parties have agreed for him to remain in Italy next season, despite him only having one year remaining on his contract.

"Pjanic will remain at Roma," Pallotta told Sport Mediaset. "We have already spoken with him, everything is fine. Everyone is happy at Roma."

Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have also been touted with an interest in Pjanic.
