Report: Barcelona to move for Douglas Costa

A report claims that Barcelona are interested in signing Shakhtar Donetsk attacker Douglas Costa.

Barcelona are reportedly interested in signing Shakhtar Donetsk attacker Douglas Costa.

The 24-year-old was once regarded as one of the best young talents in Brazilian football during his time with Gremio, but he somewhat surprisingly made the move to Shakhtar in 2010.

Costa's performances for the Ukrainian outfit have been of a high level, leading to speculation that a number of European clubs are preparing moves.

Chelsea are believed to have made contact with the attacking midfielder in January, but according to Mundo Deportivo, it is Barcelona that want to sign the Brazilian when their transfer ban comes to a close in January 2016.

Costa is closing on 150 league appearances for his current club.
