Michael Gash has agreed a new 12-month contract with Conference champions Barnet.
The striker arrived at The Hive in January following his release by Kidderminster Harriers.
He went on to score three goals in 15 appearances, which was enough to convince manager Martin Allen to offer the 28-year-old terms for the club's 2015-16 assault on League Two.
"To finish the season the way we did and become champions was a fantastic feeling," he told the club's official website.
"I have always wanted to play in the Football League and have always felt like I am capable of doing so. For some reason on numerous occasions it has never quite happened - whether it was through bids being turned down or losing in the playoffs – so to get that opportunity with a team that I came up with is fantastic."
Gash has played for a host of clubs during his career, including Cambridge United, Braintree Town and York City.
