Barnet manager Martin Allen has insisted that the "door could remain open" for striker Charlie MacDonald.
Despite scoring eight times last season, MacDonald has been released by the Conference Premier champions, but Allen has revealed that he may welcome back the 34-year-old after his recovery from a knee operation.
Allen told the club's official website: "If he doesn't find something and I don't get what we want, then the door will still be open."
The last of MacDonald's eight goals came against Southport on January 24.
