Report: Franck Ribery to miss the rest of 2015

Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery could miss the rest of 2015 with his ankle injury, according to a report.

Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery has reportedly been told that he could miss the rest of 2015 with his ankle injury.

A number of different injury problems kept Ribery out of action for long spells of last season and he has not made an appearance for Bayern since March.

According to Sport BILD, very little progress has been made in the Frenchman's recovery and he is now expected to be on the sidelines for at least the next three months.

The Bundesliga champions entered the transfer market in the summer to bring in Douglas Costa, who has impressed in a wide attacking role in the early stages of the season.

Ribery made just 23 appearances in all competitions last season.
