Bayern Munich to face Hamburger SV in Bundesliga opener

Bayern Munich will begin the defence of their Bundesliga title with a home match against relegation playoff survivors Hamburger SV.

Bayern Munich have learned that they will begin the defence of their Bundesliga title with a home tie against Hamburger SV.

The German top flight published the fixtures for the 2015-16 season this lunchtime, revealing that Pep Guardiola's side will take on Hamburg on August 14.

The visitors finished 16th in the table last season, narrowly avoiding relegation in a playoff.

Borussia Dortmund will host Borussia Monchengladbach in their first league match under new manager Thomas Tuchel, while last season's runners-up Wolfsburg are at home to Eintracht Frankfurt.
