Half-Time Report: Paul Caddis brace gives Birmingham City advantage

Paul Caddis hits a brace as Birmingham City record an emphatic 3-0 half-time lead over Barnsley at Oakwell in the Championship.

Birmingham City have raced into a 3-0 half-time lead over Barnsley at Oakwell, courtesy of a brace from Paul Caddis.

The 25-year-old fired Lee Clark's men into the lead on 13 minutes, unleashing a fierce effort past goalkeeper Jack Butland from the edge of the area.

It was not long before the Blues doubled their advantage, as Caddis stepped up to the penalty spot and bagged his second of the afternoon after Nikola Zigic was adjudged to have been fouled in the box.

Zigic added the third shortly before the interval, starting and finishing the counter-attack which saw the Serbian give the Blues a near unassailable lead with a good finish.
