Team News: Michael Morrison returns to Birmingham City side for Rotherham clash

Michael Morrison starts for Birmingham City against Rotherham United at St Andrew's after overcoming a knee injury.

Birmingham City defender Michael Morrison has returned to the starting lineup for this afternoon's Championship clash against Rotherham United.

The 27-year-old has been out with a knee injury since January, but he returns to the fold today alongside Rob Kiernan.

Diego Fabbrini was expected to make his full debut after joining on loan from Watford, but the forward has been placed on the bench for the clash at St Andrew's.

Andrew Shinnie was an injury doubt, but the 25-year-old has been given the nod by manager Gary Rowett, while Jonathan Spector is missing from the squad altogether.

Kari Arnason is absent from the Rotherham side as he serves the second of his two-match ban for receiving 10 yellow cards, while Frazer Richardson and Danny Ward are out with injuries.

Conor Sammon and Matt Derbyshire will lead the line for the visitors this afternoon.

Birmingham City XI: Randolph; Caddis, Morrison, Kiernan, Grounds; Gleeson, Tesche, Cotterill, Shinnie; Gray, Donaldson

Rotherham United XI: Millers: Martinez, Hunt, Morgan, Broadfoot, Lafferty; Wilson, Frecklington, Smallwood, Pringle; Sammon, Derbyshire
