Blackburn Rovers striker Jason Roberts is believed to be having a medical at Reading in preparation for a move to the club.
The 34-year-old has dropped down the rankings in Steve Kean's side and has been linked with a switch away from Ewood Park this month.
The frontman recently aired his frustrations at the lack of first-team football at the Lancashire side, prompting speculation of a Blackburn exit.
It is believed that Championship side Reading have been keeping tabs on Roberts and are close to clinching the striker, with a medical to be completed today, according to Sky Sports News.
Roberts has been at Blackburn for five years.
