Blackburn Rovers manager Steve Kean has said that he is "very confident" of being in charge at Ewood Park by the January transfer window.
Rovers suffered their third straight defeat at the hands of fellow strugglers Bolton Wanderers this evening, replacing their Lancashire rivals at the foot of the Premier League.
When asked whether he'll be in place by the time the January transfer window comes around, Kean responded: "I'm very confident."
The Glaswegian also denied reports of a meeting with Rovers owners Venky's, adding: "I've not got a date when I'm gonna meet the owners, I spoke with them this morning and half an hour before the game."
Kean attributed much of the recent poor form to the lack of a defence at his disposal.
"We need to get a back four, we just don't have the defence at the moment.
"We miss Ryan Nelsen, Scott Dann and Gael Givet, it's the goals against column that's costing us."
Rovers next face away trips to Liverpool and Manchester United.
