Former Blackburn Rovers striker Jason Roberts admits his 'concerns' about the future of the Championship club.

Reading striker Jason Roberts has admitted that he is "concerned" about the future of former club Blackburn Rovers.

The Championship outfit sacked boss Michael Appleton on Tuesday, despite the former Blackpool manager spending just 67 days in charge.

"I am lost for words and never been more concerned for the club than right now," Roberts tweeted.

The experienced striker made 134 league appearances for Rovers between 2006 and 2012.
