Blackburn Rovers boss Steve Kean has warned Junior Hoilett of the implications of leaving the club.
The 21-year-old's contract expires in June, and he is being tracked by a host of European clubs.
Kean, however, is confident that Rovers can keep the Canadian international.
"If someone is out of contract and is playing the way he's playing, there's going to be teams interested. We want him to stay here because he's playing out of his skin. Would he play week in week out if he went to another club? I don't know," Kean told The Mirror.
"We hope that we can get ourselves into a position of safety and then make him an offer."
Blackburn moved six points clear of the relegation zone with a 2-0 victory over Sunderland on Tuesday.
