Lee Clark: 'Blackpool will rebuild'

Lee Clark says that Blackpool will rebuild following their relegation to League One.

Blackpool manager Lee Clark has said that the club will rebuild following their relegation to League One.

Rotherham United's 1-0 victory against Brighton & Hove Albion consigned Blackpool to relegation to League One after four seasons in the Championship.

"We knew it was a case of if and when but it still hurts. It's been a really difficult season and we're now waiting for May 3 to get the rebuild fully underway," Clark told the club's official website.

"I've already started planning and looking forward to the future, we'll be making changes and work continues in the background now to make sure that we hit the ground running when we start pre-season.

"We've got targets in mind and some pre-season games already in place, so I can't wait to get my teeth stuck into the task of getting this club back up again."

Blackpool have struggled in the league all season after financial problems left the club starting the campaign with a lack of players.
