Owen Coyle was pleased with the "belief" that his Bolton Wanderers team played with against Manchester City this afternoon.
Despite slumping to a 2-0 defeat to the league leaders, Coyle is hoping that his side continue to turn out similar performances in the coming weeks.
"Particularly in the first half we were more than a match for them and it was a cruel goal with a deflection that went in and we looked in no danger," Coyle told BBC Sport.
"We grew into the game and Joe Hart made a great save to stop Ryo Miyaichi's shot and the second goal was avoidable, but over the piece, the way we approached the game with that sort of belief, we have to carry that on."
Wanderers are currently 19th in the Premier League table.
