Dougie Freedman has publicly apologised to Bolton Wanderers fans after today's 7-1 loss at the hands of Reading.
The Trotters fell to their heaviest defeat in 32 years at the Madejski Stadium, leaving their manager facing a barrage of criticism from the club's supporters.
Adam Le Fondre grabbed a hat-trick for the Royals, with Pavel Pogrebnyak, Kaspars Gorkss, Hope Akpan and Nick Blackman adding the others.
"There's no way I'm ducking out of this situation – I'll be honest and it was completely embarrassing. I agree with the fans, no problem," Freedman told reporters.
"My message is simply sorry to the football fans who travelled down to watch us. In the morning we'll discuss exactly how we are going to move forward."
Bolton currently occupy 18th place in the Championship.
