Bordeaux boss Francis Gillot has warned his team that they will have to be at their best to defeat Lille.
Les Girondins welcome Les Dogues to the Stade Chaban Delmas tonight as the two teams enjoy contrasting early-season fortunes.
Rudi Garcia's men have won just two of their eight games this season and sit 11th in the table. Meanwhile, unbeaten Bordeaux are flying high in sixth.
Gillot does not believe that Lille's title chances should be written off just yet.
"Lille are going to be there or thereabouts and shouldn't be written off too quickly, far from that," Ligue1.com quotes Gillot as saying.
"They're trying to bed in two or three new players who need time to adapt to their system.
"They're a strong side, maybe with a little less creative inspiration or madness than last season. We'll have to be at our best to beat them."
Gillot took charge of Bordeaux last summer and led them to a fifth-placed finish.
