Borussia Dortmund can edge towards the top half of the Bundesliga table on Wednesday when they entertain title challengers Wolfsburg.
Jurgen Klopp's side are currently in 16th place in the standings due to a disastrous start to the season.
Dortmund suffered a ninth defeat of the campaign on the weekend as they went down 1-0 away to Hertha Berlin.
Wolfsburg travel to Signal Iduna Park nine points behind leaders Bayern Munich thanks to an impressive eight wins in their last 10 matches.
However, Dieter Hecking's team dropped points last time out with a 1-1 draw at home to SC Paderborn - a result that ended Wolfsburg's run of six consecutive victories at the Volkswagen Arena.
Marco Reus remains sidelined for the hosts, who will also be without Henrikh Mkhitaryan after the midfielder was ruled out for six weeks with a thigh injury. Wolfsburg have no fresh injury concerns ahead of the match.
