Bournemouth 'accept Cardiff City bid for Lewis Grabban'

Cardiff City have reportedly had a bid accepted for Bournemouth striker Lewis Grabban.

Bournemouth have reportedly accepted an offer from Cardiff City for striker Lewis Grabban.

The Welsh club have not disclosed how much they have offered for the forward, but the bid has triggered the player's £3m release clause, according to BBC Sport.

Grabban, who scored 22 goals for the Cherries last term, is also said to have attracted interest from Crystal Palace, Middlesbrough and Brighton & Hove Albion.

The completion of the deal would mark a new record fee paid for a Bournemouth player, exceeding the £1m they received for Danny Ings from Burnley in 2011.

Cardiff and Bournemouth will both compete in the Championship next season after the Bluebirds were relegated from the Premier League, finishing in 20th place.
