Danny Ings flattered by reports of interested clubs

Danny Ings admits that he is flattered to be linked with other clubs following his successful season.

Burnley forward Danny Ings has admitted that he is flattered by rumours linking him with Premier League clubs.

Despite playing a key role in securing promotion with the Clarets, Ings is still believed to be a target for a number of other teams in the top flight.

However, the 21-year-old is refusing to comment on reported interest as he looks to continue his impressive form with Burnley for another campaign.

"Of course it is flattering to be linked with other clubs and I have seen some of the stuff in the papers and on Twitter, but I try and stay focused on what I am doing," Ings told Sky Sports News.

"For every young player it is a dream to play in the Premier League and it gives you confidence to be linked with some big clubs.

"You never know what is going to happen in football, but as it stands I am contracted at Burnley for another year and I am happy and looking forward to playing in the Premier League next season."

Ings scored 26 goals in all competitions for Burnley this season.
