Crewe Alexandra end Stephane Zubar trial

Bournemouth defender Stephane Zubar will not be signing a loan deal with Crewe Alexandra after the League One club ended his trial period.

Defender Stephane Zubar has returned to Bournemouth after Crewe Alexandra made the decision to end their interest in his signature.

Zubar had been training with the bottom side in League One, but despite impressing during his time with Alexandra, manager Steve Davis has opted against taking him on loan.

The 49-year-old told the club's official website: "He has been good enough to come up here and have a short trial with us and has been very good around the place.

"He has been a pleasure to work with."

Crewe have failed to register a point in any of their opening five fixtures this season.
