Neither Bradford City nor Tranmere Rovers were able to break the deadlock during the opening 45 minutes of their League One contest at Valley Parade this afternoon.
The first real chance of note was created by the visitors in the 11th minute when Jake Kirby pulled the ball back for Ryan Lowe, but the striker sliced his shot wide of the target.
The half's main talking point arrived in the 26th minute when Tranmere's Ian Goodison appeared to elbow Bradford winger Kyel Reid in the face.
It sparked a mass brawl between the two sets of players, but the referee only deemed the offence to be worthy of a yellow card.
In the closing stages of the half Tranmere had the chance to score the opening goal, but Chris Atkinson headed straight at Bradford goalkeeper Jon McLaughlin from six yards out.
