David Beckham wishes Neymar a quick recovery

Former England captain David Beckham wishes Neymar a quick recovery from his World Cup-ending injury.

Former England captain David Beckham has wished Neymar a quick recovery following the news that the Brazil forward will miss the rest of the World Cup through injury.

It was confirmed last Saturday that the 22-year-old would be sidelined for the remainder of the tournament after he suffered a fractured vertebra during his side's quarter-final win over Colombia.

Beckham wrote on his official Facebook page: "Very disappointed to no longer see Neymar Jr. playing at World Cup.

"Considering the pressure he has been under, he has been incredible. Get better soon and I know you will come back even stronger, força neymar."

Brazil are back in action tonight when they play Germany in the semi-finals.
